Gourd Site, Painted Gourds

Well, I have a friend, my best friend actually, who steered me to my latest site. My friend's wife won a contest for designing a gourd. I was like, what's a gourd? Well it turns out its like a squash only a little different and if you dry it out, you get a hard shell that can be used for a lot of different stuff.

So my new site is Painted Gourds, but you can find Gourds listed of all different types. Gourd Dippers, Gourd Canteens, Gourd Birdhouses, Martin Gourds, you get the idea. Check it out sometime.

Money Continues to roll

As I've found more niches, the money continues to trickle in. When a domain is new, google gives it extra weight, so for a couple of weeks you rank high for great key words. The newest couple of sites are: Modern Marital Arts: Martial Arts Supplies and Equipment. Paintball Gear, just migrated from a subdomain, and American Idol Season 8 blog and store. Have fun.

Excited about latest sites

So its been a while since my last post and I'm pretty excited about my latest sites: beijingolympicgamesstore.com, biodiesel-systems.com, and cheaper-textbooks.com. I hope they come off well, let me know what you think.

New Niche Sites

So my latest sites are about Wall Dots and Digital Slr cameras. Wall dots has already produced pretty well, but the camera site has just been launched so we'll see. I'm pretty skepical as I used a different program, Store Stacker to build it. We'll see how that works, it combines Ebay, clickbank, amazon, and youtube together so I can offer content and product. We'll see.

MSN Webmaster Tools

So I stumbled on a post in the BANS forum about submitting sitemaps to MSN. I had no idea you could so I've done so with a few of my sites to see if traffic from MSN will increase. I found that my cheap used cars website is ranked fairly well, and I migrated my toddler play toys site over from a subdomain to its very own domain at http://toddlerplaytoys.com

Update on sites

Well so far I am a few months into my venture into the affiliate web business and so far eBay is king. All of my commisions are through the Build a Niche Store software and I've made over $300 thus far. The pink and brown baby site is doing well and so is the blue and brown bedding site. Both are new so don't have any page rank yet, but I hope that will change. The bedding site is ranking #3 on google for the keyword, so I am very happy with that.

My first site, All Things Active just recieved a page rank of 2. I couldn't believe it. I'll continue to try to add valuable content and see where it goes. It is my first site and has contributed my most consistent traffic to date.

I also experimented with using subdomains to host new sites, I think the verdict is in: It doesn't work. Initially Google will treat the site as independent, but then it gets rolled under the parent domain and gets very little traffic. They haven't recieved any page rank because goolge feels they are just subsites under the main store, so I think I am moving towards buying a domain name for each new site.

Blue and Brown Bedding

Well, I have had quite a bit of success with Pink and Brown Baby, so I decided to try out a Blue and Brown Bedding site. I tried Pink and Brown Bedding but the URL was taken, so we'll see. Hope this "niche" works too.

Pink and Brown

Well, my wife love things that are pink and brown, so why not make a Pink and Brown Baby site including things like bedding and clothes. Let see how it works out.

Using capability of Bans V3

Well, with the introduction of Build a Niche Store V3, I am trying a new method of targeting traffic. I'm going to use the location capability to narrow the ebay results to cities and create city specific stores. At first this was a little beyond my grasp, couldn't really think of why you would want to do that, then it hit me, used cars by city. You only want to see cars near you most of the time, so the next few posts will be centered around my success, or not, of a series of car sites focusing on the major cities of the US. Just as an update on other things, the traffic to most of my sites is non-existant, other than the first site, All Things Active. So I'm going to start submitting articles and adding some unique content to my other pages to try and start generating traffic, otherwise I am just wasting time. Wish me luck.

Digital TV Upgrade

Well, we are now less than a year away from the TV signal changing over to all digital which is going to be a major pain for the large percentage of Americans who use standard TVs to watch television from over the air. In light of that I started a new site for Digital TVs which has everything from new TVs to Digital to Analog converters so old TVs will still work just fine. Check it out.

More Sites

Yeah yeah, I started this all thinking I would make one site and as time went on maybe branch out. Well I haven't been too good sticking with that. My next too sites are Paint Ball Gear and Martial Arts Gear. Hope you like them. I think I'm going to hold off before opening anymore (I've said this before) unless something great hits me, and I'm going to try to optimize these sites. Wish me luck.

Blog help

I'm hoping one day someone will stumble upon my blog and help me figure out how to do these things and how to get other people to read it. O well, for now I'll just keep going with posts to myself. So I made yet another site, this time focused on one of my hobbies: Star Wars, Star Wars books to be more precise. I don't know if there is competition, but its free to make the sites so I can't go wrong. I figure I can add a lot of original content to this site so that should help out a bit. Pretty Cool Service

So I found a pretty good deal online tonight. While looking for ways to get traffic to my websites I stumbled upon a service that is in beta testing right now that guarantees high ranks on search engines. Since it is in beta testing they are doing the service for free right now. Why not try it I say. So I did that and I'll report back what I find. So far I've been using US Free Ads with limited success. Yes some of my pages have been indexed, but I'm still not getting much traffic at all. Please, if you vist this blog post a comment too so I can see if I'm just writing to myself. Below is the banner from the service I talked about, you should try it out.

Next "Bright" Idea

So as this turns into a journal at my attempt to conquer the internet, I think it will also record all of my "great" ideas along the way. My latest idea was to create a hub site named Found It Here Online, so I can build future sites as subdomains off of it. So my niches will all have a common home to help build links, and help save my pocket from buying 10 million domain names. I've started by adding and Audio Books site and a Toddler Toys site that are both still being set up. I'll submit this idea to the forum and see what the people over there think. I'm sure this won't help either, but at least it keeps me busy. Take care.

First two sites are up

Well I finally have my first two sites up and running. This first is All Things ACTIVE where you can find anything on EBay to support your active lifestlye. It may be a little bit of a broad topic but I think that adds to its appeal. We'll see. The second is The Game Systems Shop where you can find video games and systems. I'm going to start updating that with some system fixes and help content. Wish me luck.

First Post

Well this is my first post on the blog. I've just started making a couple of website and want to seek help and keep people appraised of my success. One is Allthingsactive.com, the other is gamesystemshop.com. I hope they both work out for me ok.
